These are the features of Dorma Casa de Los Linajes, remodelled in 2015 to offer our customers the utmost comfort and the best service in Segovia city centre. The remodelling involved respecting the historic aesthetics of the building, while adding contemporary style to its interior.
Hotel Dorma Casa de Los Linajes is in one of the quietest and most peaceful corners of the historic quarter of Segovia, just five minutes on foot from Plaza Mayor. It offers all of the advantages of being in the centre, combined with privacy to enjoy the quiet and charm of this world heritage city.
The hotel affords beautiful views over the Eresma valley and the countryside of Castile, especially from the large hotel terrace and certain bedrooms. Its facilities include a restaurant, functions rooms, gardens, gym and 62 large, bright bedrooms. It has just been fully remodelled to create an aesthetic that merges traditional elements with modern interior design.
The hotel consists of two buildings: a mansion with an aristocratic air, with a traditional Romanesque entrance and a coat of arms, which lends its name to the hotel: La Casa de los Linajes. The second is a new building and is home to the majority of the bedrooms.
The Linaje, or lineage, to which the hotel's name refers, is that of the Falconi family. Carlos Falconi, extramarital son of Charles VII of France, moved to Segovia in the 16th century and built his home there. Among other projects, Falconi funded the construction of the Romanesque San Esteban church.
