The Claridge Hotel is delighted to announce the return of Claridge Literary, its long-established cultural series that has, for many years, brought together writers, artists and leading figures from a wide range of disciplines in one of the city's most iconic venues.
This new season features a programme combining literature, jazz, lyrical afternoons, tastings, cocktails and gastronomy, alongside special events designed to revive the spirit of conversation and cultural exchange that has long defined this historic Buenos Aires hotel, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.
The programme begins on 10 July at 7:00 pm with Daniel Balmaceda, one of Argentina's most acclaimed popular historians, whose research into the country's traditions and fascinating anecdotes has captivated thousands of readers.
On 28 August at 7:00 pm, writer and psychologist Pablo Melicchio will take to the stage for a conversation centred on his works and reflections on human relationships.
The series continues on 11 September at 7:00 pm with Florencia Canale, one of the leading authors of Argentine historical fiction, whose novels have introduced a wide audience to some of the most compelling figures and stories from the nation's past.
On 23 October at 7:00 pm, the spotlight turns to writer and cultural figure Tini de Boucourt, while this edition will conclude on 6 November at 7:00 pm with journalist and author Mariela Blanco, who will share stories, fascinating insights and little-known corners of Buenos Aires.
In addition to its literary gatherings, Claridge Literary will host a year-round programme of jazz performances, lyrical afternoons, literary tastings and cocktail evenings, featuring distinguished names from the worlds of culture, gastronomy and beverages.
The programme will also include performances organised as part of the Bares Notables initiative run by the Buenos Aires City Government, with tango performances, jazz concerts and tributes to Jorge Luis Borges.
With this new edition, the Claridge Hotel reaffirms its commitment to serving as a meeting place for Buenos Aires' cultural life, reviving a tradition that forms an integral part of both its own history and the city's rich cultural heritage.
All events will take place in the legendary Piano Bar, officially recognised as a Bar Notable by the Buenos Aires City Government. Admission is free, although capacity is limited and advance registration is required by email or WhatsApp.
