      Hotel Palacio Marqués de Arizón

      Declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2001, the Casa de Arizón is now the location of Hotel Palacio Marqués de Arizón. This seventeenth- and eighteenth-century architectural complex is built in the Baroque style typical of the former Kingdom of Seville, and also features elements of Cádiz architecture, such as the watchtower.

      The house is named after a family of Irish merchants who settled in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in 1709, making it a unique testimony to the city's important role in trade between Spain and the Americas. This is a building of exceptional historical value, as it’s the only West Indies merchants’ house that has been preserved in its entirety.

      There, you can explore the park's trails on foot and visit the huts of El Pinar, as well as the "Llanos de los Velázquez" and "Llanos de la Plancha," places frequented by the park's native wildlife, making it the perfect spot to observe the wide variety of waterfowl it hosts.

      • Hotel Palacio Marqués de Arizón is located in a former Cargadores de Indias (West Indies merchants) house, built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It was declared a Site of Cultural Interest, as it’s the only complex of its kind preserved in its entirety.

        As part of the Historic-Artistic Site of Sanlúcar, this building is a unique testimony to the town's important role in the trade between Spain and the Americas and maintains the characteristics typical of this type of house, which was used as a family residence and for storing goods.
